MIDSTREAM COURSE CORRECTIONS
By Sabra Jenny

There you are: you’ve made a decision, charted a course of action, and you’re rolling along in your new direction. Suddenly, you hit a big obstacle, you’re thrown off course, and you don’t know what to do. Is the universe telling you not to go that way?  Are you supposed to do something different?  Your resolve to change begins to lose steam and momentum, you find yourself perilously close to grinding to a halt altogether, and that dark edge of fear is lurking closer and closer. What do you do?

This is the point where many people give up and decide maybe they were wrong to think they could change themselves and their lives. If there’s an obstacle in the way, maybe the universe is telling them to turn back, go back to the way things were, go back to the safety of the known world they lived in.

Other people recognize a challenge when they see one, and know that the universe is really telling them to find a way around the obstacle, and gain more in doing so. A wise person once said, “It’s the hard that makes it good. If it was easy, everyone could do it.”

The lessons we remember the best are the ones we’ve worked the hardest to learn. If you give up easily, you gain nothing. If you persevere and find your way around obstacles in your path, you learn about your own resilience and creativity in problem solving. You learn to trust yourself no matter what is thrown in front of you. You learn that you can continue on because you believe in yourself.

Psychic readings can help you chart your path, and overcome obstacles. I do readings that help people move on with their lives. To learn more about the work that I do, please visit my website.

LETTING GO AND MOVING ON
By Sabra Jenny

You work hard and dream of a better future. You have goals you want to achieve, but you do not seem to get any closer to them. Something keeps holding you back, and it feels like you are stuck in a rut, no matter how hard you try to break out of repeating the same patterns. New approaches to the situation do not yield the results you would normally expect. There could be something behind the scenes influencing the outcome, or lack of it.

Memories, prior experiences, and even past lifetimes can carry negative emotions that trigger conscious and unconscious fear responses that may prevent you from moving forward and making changes even when you know you should. These self-protective barriers can be difficult to break through. The memories containing this information may be deeply hidden or even obscured.

Finding the source of your fear is the first step to understanding what is holding you back and releasing your attachment to it. Once released from these and other self-imposed restrictions, you can move forward towards your goals and the future you deserve.

I give Letting Go and Moving On Readings that help you identify and move past unresolved issues, and allow you to make positive new changes to achieve greater success in your life. For more information about this reading and my other specialties, please visit my website.

TURNING OBSTACLES INTO CHALLENGES
By Sabra Jenny

Moving on in our lives can be a great challenge. Making changes entails interior work and willingness to take right action. Negative feelings or circumstances can be viewed as obstacles to our progress. When this happens, the natural inclination is to stop, and go no further. Yet obstacles often conceal hidden opportunities for growth and development. Sometimes obstacles are merely the product of circumstance, and are there simply to provide exercise in right use of will. Whatever their purpose, obstacles actually represent a challenge to dig deeper, try harder, and think more creatively. This often produces surprising results that take us far further than we imagine ourselves capable of going.

We often feel overwhelmed at the prospect of making changes, and get stuck in the decision-making or planning stages, mid-way point or even right at the finish line. Old fears and programs can play endlessly in our heads, listing all the reasons why it’s pointless to try to move forward. When we’re really feeling creative, we can drag up old memories of past attempts to make changes, and the interesting results of our efforts that we deem failures. Nothing could be further from the truth, yet in an effort to support our decision to do nothing rather than make a change, we view our past unsuccessful efforts as negative experiences, and allow that to weigh our judgment about the future.

The courage of your convictions and persistence in your efforts can take you far. When you feel something is right for you, and that it will bring you positive results, it is worth whatever hard work it takes to get there. Many famous people achieved their greatest accomplishments by trying repeatedly to do so. Edison executed over 14,000 experiments to invent the light bulb. When asked by a reporter after the first 2,000 tries how he felt about failing 2,000 times, he responded that he hadn’t failed, he had found 2,000 way not to invent the process he believed in. He persisted, kept a positive attitude, and forever revolutionized the way we live.

Know what you want. Believe it is possible. Begin a plan, take some steps -- even baby ones -- forward, and correct your path as necessary to continue on towards your goal. View obstacles as opportunities for creative thinking and growth. Be flexible in your thinking and dreaming. Release your attachment to a specific outcome, and open yourself to whatever the universe has in store for you. Be willing to go back to the drawing board when things don’t go as planned, and redesign your future. Keep going. If you do nothing, nothing changes. When you begin to move forward, new opportunities will cross your path.

MOVING RIGHT ALONG
By Sabra Jenny

A frequent question that comes up in readings is how to move forward when you feel that you’re really stuck in life. Many people think this is a complicated process, and that there are so many obstacles in the way of making progress in your life. The truth is that moving on is only as hard as you make it.

People often think the Universe is holding them back for some mysterious reason. The Universe doesn’t conspire to hold us in one place, and actually thrives from the energy created by change. It’s more a question of allowing yourself to take a leap of faith, let go of the past, and begin moving forward.

An ancient Chinese proverb tells us that the longest journey begins with the first step. This is true in all things, especially the journey to enlightenment. If you don’t begin a thing, you can’t go on.

It often takes great courage to take the first step towards making a change you know you need to make. Looking ahead to the final goal can be daunting when it seems difficult to achieve, and far away. Yet taking one small step at a time completes that journey to your final goal, and even if that first step is a doozy, at least you’ve begun.

Approaching your goal takes planning and strategy. When you’ve decided to move forward, it helps to have some idea where you’re going. Once you choose your direction, it’s wise to know what obstacles you may encounter, and what possible options you’ll have at those points. But beware of getting stuck in the planning stages. Your plans are only useful if you implement them.

Remember the way that babies learn to walk. First they pull themselves along on their bellies. Next they get a little altitude, with a slightly better view of the road ahead, and crawl carefully. Finally, summoning up their courage because they‘ve learned that they can move forward, they stand upright, and tentatively take the first few steps. It can be that simple for you.

In a nutshell:  Step 1: Make a commitment to change. Step 2: Decide where you want to go. Step 3: Check for obstacles in your path and ways around them. Step 4: Get moving!

Next time: How to deal with obstacles and challenges that appear in your path.

REACH OUT IN TOUGH TIMES
By Sabra Jenny

We’re all going through strange times. One way or another, we’re all feeling changes happening in our lives, some of them unwelcome. There’s no way to get around being affected by the state of the world today. There’s so much tension and fear in the world, and not enough faith.

We have to have faith that better times are coming. We have to know in our hearts that whatever happens, we will prevail. We have to believe that we can move forward, no matter what seems to be pulling us backward, or holding us down.

We humans are stronger than we think we are. We have so much going for us. We have this beautiful world to live in, we have our families, our friends, and the sun comes up tomorrow no matter what. Things may be difficult in your corner of the world, whether it’s internal difficulties, or the pressure of whatever is going on where you live. We all have challenges to meet and survive.

And survive we do. You may not be living your optimal life, but you have the chance to move forward and keep working to create that life for yourself. You don’t have to be the victim of circumstances for long. When bad things happen, you get to pick yourself up and start again.

Some of us have wonderful, supportive friends close by. Some of us feel alone and closed off in our lives. But we all have the miracle of the Internet now, and can reach out across the world to people we’ll never touch or hold, and be their friend. No one is alone any more unless they choose to be. We are all here together right now, reading these words. There is power in numbers.

We are all united in our common goal to spread the light of love throughout the world. That is why we gather here in the loving space that Troika has created for us to share. We read the Spirit Voice Newsletter and look for signs of hope and encouragement, to know that the world is moving in a positive direction.

We are the movers. Each one of us has a kernel of loving energy inside ourselves that we share with the world every time we send love out in any form. Sometimes it’s as simple as sending a friend you haven’t heard from in a while a note to say you’re there. At times it’s as complex as writing to your government about making positive changes. It’s enough to smile at a stranger when you go to the market. It all matters.

I sit here at the computer alone with my dogs, yet I know that there are thousands of people out there somewhere on this planet who will read my thoughts, and hear the truth of what I say. This is the true power that we each have. We can choose to share our positive thoughts, or we can stay quiet in the world, but no matter what we do, the energies that we put out every single day make a difference.

NEW YEAR'S INSPIRATION
By Sabra Jenny

Many people begin a new year resolving to make changes in various aspects of their lives. These resolutions are often bold statements of intent, and contain the seeds of desire to be different in some way. How many times have you resolved to do things differently, develop different habits, or change yourself or your life in some way, only to end up disappointed when you don't achieve the results you hoped for? This happens when you are looking only at the surface and don't examine the root of the problem. Making a declaration of the intent to change is a good beginning, but a firm understanding of the root problem is required for change to be possible.

Examining the motives behind the change you're proposing is an important part of the process. To succeed at anything, there must be a firm commitment to the action as well as the expected outcome. Deciding to lose weight because you don't like the way you look has far less impact than deciding to take action to make your body healthy. The negative impact of not liking your looks is far less compelling than the positive impact of making your body healthier. Making a career change, moving to another town, or ending a relationship are not always answers to problems, they are often symptoms of a desire for change that may have nothing to do with the actions you take.

Root causes have a way of hiding in your subconscious mind. They are often created by traumatic experiences, and your mind has a tendency to bury, forget and internalize pain and negative experiences, storing them away as reminders that only come up when something related to the original experience in some way, such as a sound, sight, smell, or words, triggers a pattern in your brain that is a deeply programmed reaction to the stimulus. You may find yourself reacting without necessarily understanding why you are doing what you are doing, only knowing that you are compelled to do so by something deeply internalized. Without extensive knowledge of your personal psychological makeup, usually gained through years of counseling, therapy, and introspection, it is difficult for you to pinpoint your own buried root causes because their nature is to remain buried and act silently on your psyche.

There are numerous ways to isolate and access a root cause creating a specific behavior pattern. Being in nature often helps the mind and spirit to expand and relax, allowing thoughts and truths to surface and be examined. Talking to a friend, counselor or therapist can provide insights from within, and from another party. Dreams may be recorded, interpreted and examined. Oracles often provide answers to questions that may shed light on deeper levels of your psyche. A well-matched meditation program that suits your personal lifestyle may allow your inner and outer selves a more accessible dialog. There are many ways for the truth to surface and be put to work.

A psychic reading can shed light on your inner needs and their outer manifestations. Your guides and angels, who have been monitoring your progress through life, often have unique insights into your true motivations and needs. By asking direct questions about specific areas of your life, you take control of the reading process and receive results that will help you move forward into the future you desire and deserve.

I offer targeted Specialty Readings for all areas of your life. These readings can help pinpoint your obstacles and suggest positive solutions to help you move toward success and happiness in a more meaningful and permanent way. To learn more about the readings I offer, please visit my website.

MENOPAUSE: THE SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE
By Sabra Jenny

Western culture has trained women to think of menopause as a medical condition that introduces the onset of old age, and which requires treatment. However, some other cultures, both ancient and modern, that are more in tune with nature's cycles, herald this time in our lives as the coming of the Wise Woman. It is recognized as a time when women can begin a new phase of our lives and discover our true nature, as well as a whole new dimension of female power and awareness.

This concept is grounded in the medical reality that brain chemistry alterations from the changes in a woman's reproductive system can birth a greater awareness, redirected motivation, and even a deep spiritual awakening. Menopause is a time of significant physical change. Uncomfortable symptoms lead many women to seek help from medical doctors. Hot flashes, disturbed sleep patterns, weight gain, memory loss, mental confusion, and fluctuating emotions can occupy our attention to the point where we fail to notice the changes going on in our deepest inner world.

Also, many women go through “the change” around the time that our children are grown and leaving home to make their adult lives, or our husbands/significant others are having rocky mid-life experiences as well. All of us, male and female, have regular growth and change cycles, and middle age can be one of the most challenging.

Menopause is actually one the most important changes in a woman's life, as pregnant with possibilities as the phase of motherhood. It is a time for us to honor earlier accomplishments as mother, homemaker, partner, achiever of all types, and give ourselves the respect, honor and dignity we deserve as we move forward into the new role of wise elder. Many women are now birthing their Wise Woman selves with the same joy, expectation, and excitement that they gave to their newborns, and I encourage you to anticipate and experience this change from a fresh, spiritual perspective.

I’m pleased to offer a new specialty reading created from my research and personal experiences: Menopause: The Spiritual Perspective. This reading will help you center yourself in your Wise Woman, achieve the spiritual growth that is a part of this process, and create the present and future you desire.

PAST LIFE READINGS INSPIRE SUCCESS
By Sabra Jenny

Today more people than ever are interested in knowing about their past lives. Clients approach me with all kinds of questions about their previous incarnations. They are curious to know who they were, what they did, whether loved ones from former lives are with them now, why they are especially attracted to or repelled by someone, or even why they repeatedly choose the wrong kinds of relationships.

Some people might argue that our former lives are over and done with, and that all the power exists in the here-and-now of this life, not in our personal history. But currents of energy from our previous incarnations feed our present lives in all sorts of interesting and mysterious ways. A sense of deja vue some people experience can be a manifestation of this. It’s fascinating for me to show clients the patterns of past and present that show themselves during readings. Knowing some of my own past life events and personalities has helped me understand why I am experiencing certain strong trends in my lifetimes, and has given me many valuable insights that have allowed me to make wiser choices.

This life we are now living is only one step in a long journey, and as such represents only a small part of the totality of who we really are. This means that the self we think we know is really only the tip of the iceberg. It's therefore natural to want to know our totality. Exploring our past lives can help us experience this larger sense of self. As we gain greater understanding of our spiritual unfolding, we move forward in our quest for self-mastery.

Past life readings can be valuable tools for understanding the chain of events that has brought you to where you are now in your life, and for using the law of return to resolve past life issues affecting you now. Helping people tie together the threads of their past lives and use this knowledge to create the lives they truly desire and deserve is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

BEYOND THE MATERIAL PLANE
By Sabra Jenny

I offer readings that can help you move beyond your day-to-day life and explore both the larger reality of spiritual unfolding, and your own multidimensionality. You may be interested in one of the following readings:

Self-Mastery Reading: Underlying the reality of our busy lives is a larger reality: that life is a process of spiritual unfolding. And each time we awaken to the next higher principle or call forth more of our own innate divinity, we step into a whole new field of greater understandings. Along with this new awareness come more lessons and responsibilities. Fortunately, we have access to the vast experience of guides and teachers in the higher planes who have gone before us and have mastered these challenges. I will bring forward their messages and offer you additional suggestions to help you succeed in your quest for self-mastery.

Alternate Realities Reading: While we are primarily focused in the physical world, we are in fact spiritual beings who interface with other realities. As we begin to experience our own multidimensionality, questions often arise around such things as mysticism, astral travel, soul travel, profound dreams and various other inner- and inter-plane encounters. An Alternate Realities Reading can shed light on these questions and how they relate to your inner expansion and your place in the "real" world.

I give readings that help people achieve more success in their lives. For information on other types of readings I offer, including Relationships, Career Path Guidance, and Creativity Enhancement, please visit my site.

NEW AND UNUSUAL PSYCHIC READINGS
By Sabra Jenny

Hello, my name is Sabra Jenny. I have over 35 years experience as a practicing psychic, and I'm now making email readings available. In addition to General Readings, I have a number of unusual specialties.

One of my specialties is reading for "creative" types -- artists, writers, crafters, inventors, etc. Having a background in music and art myself -- and having for many years guided my own family and friends in their artistic pursuits -- I am intimately familiar with the kinds of issues surrounding the creative life. Orchestrating interior energies more effectively, balancing between artistic expression and daily responsibilities, or simply ignoring the whisper of the artist within can prevent people from pursuing their creative passion and achieving success. A Creativity Enhancement Reading can address these and many other challenges.

Another popular specialty reading helps people let go of the past and move on in their lives. It can be difficult to identify and move past old behavior patterns, emotions, and unresolved issues from the past. Discovering how old thoughts, emotions and beliefs are blocking progress gives the clarity and freedom needed to move on and make positive new changes.

My other specialties include Career Path Guidance, Self-Mastery, Mid life Crisis, Relocation Options, Relationships, Your Guides and Angels, and Alternate Realities.

From Troika Celeste St. Germain, the editor of Spirit Voice Newsletter, this lovely unsolicited testimonial:

This month we are very pleased to welcome Psychic Sabra Jenny to 1 Spirit! It was my pleasure to experience a mini-reading. All I said was, "Tell me about my dogs." and gave her their first names. She quickly described them, and their relationship to each other, with an accurate insight that would normally take years of living with them to perceive. She also gave me valuable advice about a new business venture I am entering. Try her, you'll like her!
